What We Do

Courts built and resurfaced for the daily wear of school and club netball.

Real Tennis Court resurfaces and constructs netball courts for schools, clubs, community facilities and sports centres across Gauteng and beyond. We prepare and repair the existing base, apply a coloured hard-court coating and mark the court to the correct dimensions, or build a new court from the ground up.

  • Surface preparation and crack repair for heavily used school courts
  • Removal of failed coating and old line build-up before recoating
  • Coloured surface coating with the grip netball demands
  • Accurate marking of thirds, centre circle and goal circles
  • Multi-sport line marking in a second colour where required
  • New court construction including goal post sockets and fencing

What The Work Involves

When a netball court needs resurfacing

School netball courts see heavy daily use, often by several teams and age groups on the same surface. Wear shows as faded colour, worn or missing lines, a slippery surface where the texture has gone, and cracks or standing water that make the court unsafe in wet weather.

Netball involves fast stops, pivots and landings, so grip and an even surface matter more than on most other courts. When the lines can no longer be seen clearly or players are slipping, the court is due for resurfacing.

Preparation and surface repairs

We pressure-clean the court and inspect the whole surface before any coating is applied. Cracks are cleaned out and filled, low spots that hold water are levelled, and loose or failed coating is removed back to a sound base. On older courts where line paint has built up over years of re-marking, the surface is prepared so that old markings do not show through the new colour.

Resurfacing and coating

The court is coated in stages: filler and texture coats first, to seal the surface and build an even, non-slip texture, followed by colour coats on the playing area and surrounds. Using a contrasting colour for the run-off area around the court makes the boundary clear to players and umpires. We work with more than one surface coating system and recommend the one best suited to the court, how it is used and your budget.

Line marking for netball

Netball courts are marked from measured points to the correct dimensions: sidelines and goal lines, the two transverse lines that divide the court into thirds, the centre circle and the goal circles. On multi-purpose courts we mark the netball lines in a distinct colour alongside tennis or basketball lines, so each set of markings reads clearly.

New netball court construction

For a new court we handle the full construction: levelling and compaction of the base, drainage falls so the court sheds water, the playing slab, goal post sockets set in the correct positions, fencing where required, and the surface system and line marking to finish.

Durability and appearance

A professionally prepared and coated netball court gives consistent grip, drains quickly and keeps its colour with only routine sweeping and cleaning. Bright, clearly marked courts are easier to play and umpire on, and they present well for a school or club. Where possible we schedule work around term dates and fixtures so the court is out of use for as little time as possible.
